For Your GRAMMY® Consideration
I'm not Sabrina, Sia, Lady Gaga, or Teena Maria.
I'm Summer Rona, a singer, composer, and producer from Salt Lake City.
You might not know me cause I've been hustling to survive after marrying who I thought was the love of my life.
When your husband robs a bank and does some coke and heroin, you almost die until music makes you care again.
I wrote a whole musical about it, so stay tuned next year.
Until then, I have a couple of songs I want you to hear.
One about vulnerability and love, cause Lord knows for years my heart had given up.
Another about peace and war, cause my soul can't stand to see the world hurt anymore.
I might not be super famous yet, but if you know me—I'm never ever going to quit.
Thank you so much for your consideration. I'm excited to one day see you at the Grammy celebration.

The Story Behind The Song
No More War is my heartfelt response to the urgent need for compassion in our world. Inspired by the tragedy of Sandy Hook, I wrote this song to tell the story of two kids, Johnny and Sandy, whose lives are turned upside down by violence.
In the wake of such loss, this anthem reminds us that...
““war is in our words, in our phones, in our streets, in our homes.””
We must come together to support each other, fostering unity and understanding in times of grief.
After writing this song, I felt compelled to share its message. In September 2023, I performed No More War on Peace Day in Times Square, where the music video was filmed, which is now up for consideration for Best Music Video.
I hope to inspire healing with this work. The song serves as a poignant reminder of the impact of violence and the vital role empathy plays in our communities.
With my non-profit, Songpower, I’m passionate about using music to create positive change. Let’s spread the word about No More War and work together to make our world a kinder place.
